Today let’s discuss what to do during the event, or what I call GAME TIME

First, here’s a checklist you can follow prior to the start of the event to make sure you are ready to go the day of.

  1. When is load in?

  2. How much time do I need to set up properly?

  3. Is everything I need for the booth to look it’s best ready to go and looking how I want it?

  4. Do I already have a booth/ space designated to me, or is it first come first serve?

  5. How am I tracking leads? Online or offline and do I have a backup? **Can this be automated?

  6. Do I have or have I handed out all staff and partner uniforms and products to wear?

  7. Have I given my partners in my community who are working the event with me all the info they need?

  8. Am I on the same page with the promoter and the expectations that were set?

  9. Do I have extra chargers and other tech hardware ready to go?

  10. Have I posted on social, sent emails, and made calls to make sure my current followers and customers know to come visit us?

  11. How am I going to capture content of the event? Is someone doing it for me and have they been prepped?

  12. Am I giving attendees and partners a business card? Digital Card?

  13. Do I have all the Products I am going to be giving away to people?

  14. Does my team and I know our Company Story, and enough info about what we do and our product/service to be able quickly converse with someone?

*If you are bringing in a partner from your community, they should know this and you should know theirs. Remember, you’re also promoting them.

As you start to plan for the day of the event, you might have a lot more you want to add to the list, but these are some you definitely want to make sure to check off.

Give yourself plenty of time and make sure you prep everyone of your goals and objectives for being there.

Events are an incredible way to build relationships with not only new and existing customers, but partners who can help you grow your business. Your main goal might be to sell a product/ service, or get leads for a future sale, but don’t forget about meeting new people who can be an advocate for you and join the community you’re building.

In the next lesson we are going to cover just that. How to use the time between being set up and the attendees entering the door to grow your Community.

The Masterclass is coming up soon. Be sure to sign up here and remember, if you can’t make it live, you still get access to the recordings, templates, forms, and other resources to help you on your event success journey.
